Chapter 1 One is fortunate to be able to reach old age. It means the body has survived a life in a world where everyone fears pain, death, or being uncomfortable. People come in a variety of cultures, traditions, and walks of life but one thing is for sure ;people are biologically similar. It is also amazing that the D.N.A is similar with all living organisms. The differences are in the way genetic codes are arranged. These codes determine factors such as genetic predispositions towards disease, hair color, eye color, and even ability to function as healthy adults in the environment and with each other. It is logical to think that because of certain factors ,as the one mentioned above that many of them have an impact on whether one is successful in life. One of the greatest advantages humans have over many circumstances and life forms is the ability to seek truth, test that truth, and apply it to solve issues that threaten equilibrium. From infancy throughout life many living organisms seek to find a truth that keeps them in balance and wholeness. Wholeness is that completeness that all that is needed is available and satisfied. With animals, they seek this based on their carnal nature and need to survive. Humans are similar but once all the basic needs are met there is a need to love and experience happiness or joy. Evident to the detriment of Humanity is that truth can be determined by what one feels comfortable with. It is in the similar that people can draw conclusions but sometimes the similarities can also cause cognitive dissonance and result in some pretty negative results. In order for beliefs to form one must accept it as truth. The truth speaks for itself and can set one free from delusions that set one up towards patterns of destruction. Universal truths could only be received by one using their free will to do so. Patterns is a key word. Patterns can tell much of how and why something is happening. When one comes to the realization that factors can have the major impact on how one thinks and adapts to the world around them this can shake up their world. The world is shaken because of a need to know what the what truth is. On a Universal perspective we are too small to know everything. This leads to the many questions of life that go unanswered. Cognitive distortions can produce maladaptive ways of behaving and thinking. A distortion is usually an irrational way of concluding what truth is. An example of cognitive distortions is fortune telling thinking. Predicting the future without adequate evidence. What if our President made decisions based on hearing voices that others can't see or hear? It would probably get that President impeached immediately! The point is beliefs are formed from what is perceived as truth. Based on patterns that are cosistent with producing the same result each time one concludes something is true. An accumulation of all this produces knowledge and hopefully wisdom. Knowledge comes from learning and wisdom comes from experience. Having both can give the advantage of making better decisions to prolong one's life. Much can be learned by examining lifestyles of those who have obtained the gift of long life. It can even be an honorable duty to value those with longivity by keeping them alive with love and care . Protecting the holders of history by making sure a world obsessed with beauty and youth does not dismiss them as if their time is up, is a concern for many. The preservation of historical data is important also. The knowledge of yesterday paves a way for the future. Sure a doctor can say someone has so many days to live ,but then there are those who have witnessed miracles that debunk death predictions based on their Revelation . Everyone ages and that is factual, but in the end our time is up when we take our last breath. Who or what decides the last breath? Again, another one of the main questions that baffles even the most intelligent minds. It doesn't seem crazy at all to form a beliefs from the mere analysis of exposed patterns. Apply this to the conditioning one has had during the period of one's life, and an opening toward revelational truth could explain the meaning or reason. They continue to dig deeper in search for a greater understanding. The concept of how life began to exist as living organisms is sometimes a fueled debate. The consequences are the division of people, cultures, languages, ideologies, theories, and lack of tolerance for understanding the many belief systems of this world. Although, human kind will join forces for the highest good when it involves exponential effects for survival of a species. If human kind could come together to ensure Earth could never experience a devastating natural catastrophe such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or even being struck by lightening it would seem an ideal world. The thing, is that once comfort levels are met the feeling of glee every day would eventually pass. The possibility of such great feelings of content staying constant has not been recorded possible, but this has not yet but deemed it impossible. Sound familiar? Chapter2 Stripping Beliefs.
