You sat alone in the darkness filled with sadness and uncertainty. I came in and shared my light with you. Slowly you gained your confidence back and rose from the darkness. 
I then found myself alone in the darkness filled with sadness and uncertainty, but you weren’t coming to share your light. 
I never shared my light in the thoughts that you would return the favor, but when the darkness came; I couldn’t help but feel as though I had given you the last I had. You go out and show off your new light to all that couldn’t see you alone in the darkness, and I will sit alone in the darkness wishing I could have just a tiny piece of my light back.
