The Final Fight part II Chapter 1: Thunder rolls The last time we were delved into the story we left off with Alex, Alice, and Devonne Catching shut eye. Now we are inside the cargo hold holding Dr. Coroner, she overslept. "Sir we have to set up our portable base." "Ok then, open the cargo door!" Dr. Coroner wakes up and stirs around. She realizes the cargo door is opening, and jumps behind a giant cargo box hoping that they don't take it. "That box is the one we need." Coroner begins sweating uncontrollably. Each step the military personnel makes sounds like a doom symphony in Coroner's ears. "Yes that one idiot." Dr. Coroner holds her breath, the personnel takes out a large box in front of the one Coroner is hiding behind. She breathes a sigh of relief. "Alright now to get this cure spread." She sneaks out the back of he carrier, behind boxes, and slips away into the forestline. Only a mile or two away the Outlasters are preparing to give orders to their brethren ready to decimate the enemy base. "Andrew we are green, awaiting your orders." Alright Pete, patch me into the airfighters." "Yes sir." Ringing commences, then buzzing, then voices. "My fellow brethren this is Andrew, I am pleased to hear you guys are giving your lives to defeat the Outsiders." "I know this is a stressful situation you have been placed in, I am truly sorry for that, but you are helping the world towards a new era." "An era that we will live peacefully in." "May you all do the very best, we will all see you on the otherside, Andrew over and out." Click. "Well said Andrew." "Thank you Pete, I hope they succed." "I hope so too Andrew." In the ship Alice and Devonne are located, they come up on the enemy base. "Well here we are guys." "Yes, Devonne here we are, Alex is still sleeping..." "If he dies, I want him to die in his sleep." "Ok Alice, I won't disturb him." "So this is how it all ends Devonne?" "Yes Alice, this is the end of the road." "I'm sorry Alice, I wish I could have told you everything." "Devonne, I feel the same way." "Goodbye Alice." "Until we meet again Devonne." As they finish the plane crashes into the base causing a gigantic explosion, that destroys almost a half of the base. Immediately after another plane hits; explodes. Then another and another. The base has been obliterated off the face of the Earth. The commander and private along with it. Meanwhile in the dead city, the soldiers try to make contact with their home. Silence and static is all that fills their ears. The soldiers continue on with their mission, not knowing the order giver has died. They created three squads of six people. Each has a medic, an explosive expert, and an engineer. The other two of the group are mostly grunts and a squad leader. They each set themselves next to a maitnence grater that leads to the sewer tunnels. After they check up on each other they enter the tunnels, knowing that they cannot contact each other once they enter. We follow squad one like one of the grunts, blindly into darkness unaware of what is next. Each squad makes it to the ground and await their commander to give orders. The commander tells them to move forward. They all trudge along in the sewage. The frontman leading the way and the squad leader behind him. They walk about five to ten feet from there previous location when they hear a distant 'splash' noise about, eight feet in front of the frontman and around a bend in the tunnel. The squad leader makes a fist in the air telling them to hold there position. The frontman is whispered in the ear by the squad leader to continue walking ahead. The frontman hesitates because the sound inches closer and closer. The frontman yells out, "I can't do this!" He begins to walk to the back of the group when, the squad leader grabs him by the collar, pulls him to his face so the frontman can see it, and says, "I will kill you before you even make a step towards the exit." The frontman terrified by this decides to scout ahead hoping that the noise is nothing. As he walks closer to the bend, the noise goes from a simple splash to a giant 'sploosh'. It almost sounds as if a herd of cattle began stampeding. The frontman runs back to report. As the sound inches closer and closer yet. Meanwhile, the doctor is lost out in the woods trying to find a way to get into the city. She has been walking for several hours now. "How long does it take to find a fucking clearing?" She spoke no sooner. She stops to look around again and just ahead is a clearing. "Oh thank God, it's a clearing." "Took me long enough, now i can figure out just where i am at." She starts walking towards the mostly open clearing, only making a few feet, when she hears a low growl. She stops and decides to continue walking ahead thinking that it was nothing, no more like hoping. As she walks the growl seems to become louder and louder. She slips the gun into her dominant hand, spins around, and hops back all in one simple movement. What she sees is rather horrifying. Almost bad enough to vomit all the food she ate this morning up. It seems to be a dog, what is left of it anyways, growling at her visciously. The dog has half a jaw, one eyeball, a half of a back leg, and guts hanging out dragging along the ground. Only flesh, tissue, and muscle remained. Dr. Coroner hesitates at first to pull the trigger. The dog lunges and she shoots panickly wasting three shells. She killed the dog, but made a lot of noise while doing so. "This is insane, now animals are becoming infected?" "I need to stop this before everyone becomes zombies." Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes The frontman fires the first burst of rounds at the Dogma coming through the sewer tunnel towards them. This same Dogma happened to be the one that we first encountered with Eric and Sarah. The flat description of this creature is simple. You ever seen a werewolf in the movies? Itnhas the body structure of a werewolf, the speed of a cheetah, and the intellect of a being far more superior than us as humans. However intelligent Dogma's may be, they still lack the trait to speak. The frontman fired the first burst round of bullets but the Dogma knew what these humans were he jumped into a overhead tunnel that led behind them while the reincarnated, walked towards them, sounding like a stampede. The squad leader fires a rapid spray beside the frontman, all the while not realizing his men behind him were tore limb from limb silently. About five minutes later, after killing all the reincarnated, the squad leader turns around to asess the situation. He sees all the body parts laying here and there. Bits and pieces of an unknown matter splattered each side of the walls, come to think of it i think its the intestinal tract and some brain matter, with blood everywhere. The frontman realizes what happened and points his gun to the squad leaders head. " I am not staying down here to die with your ass." The squad leader calmly turns around and asks the frontman, "can you please put the gun down so we can work this out?" The frontman didn't do this, far from this as a matter of fact. He walked around the squad leader, still facing him, and said, "I already told you i am not gonna die here, I'm leaving, you can come along or push forward on your own." "So this is how it is gonna be frontman?" "You are gonna desert your mission as a soldier to save your own skin?" "Very cowardly if you ask me, but go ahead and leave I'll push forward and complete this mission then, you better hope i never see you again." The frontman looks at the squad leader then climbs up the ladder and out. "Good riddance you deserting son of a bitch." The squad leader mumbles under his breath. He pushes forward in hopes of finding the other squad. Not knowing due to lack of communication, that they were the first to...disappear so to speak. Dr. Coroner set up camp for the night in a cozy little cabin in the woods. The time is about 12:18 a.m. She is suddenly awoke by a loud screech somewhere off in the distance. Not realizing her soon fatal error, she walks out onto the front porch unarmed, only to be bombarded by a small child. Terror fills her insides, as she falls backwards and the child climbs upon her nimbly. Aiming precisely for her throat. The child, face half shattered and eaten, rears its head back then brings it forward swiftly. Coroner smashes her arm into its jaws, not knowing that she will soon turn due to the strain within this creature. Coroner screams. The pain is unbearable, but the guilt of not being able to induce the cure and save the world is worse than death. And far worse than this situation. Coroner began thinking this, I need to drag this thing back into the cabin. I realize this creature has the strain within its body. If i could just reach the cure. She slaps away the child immediately, and rushes for the syringe. She reaches it with ease. Coroner turns around and injects herself with it, throws away the syringe and awaits her demise. The child raises up into a crouch position, pauses, then lunges for Coroner for the last time. Coroner doesn't even flinch as this thing rips out her juguluar and trachea. Thus ends the life of Coroner and begins the destruction of the Dogma syndrome and all those infected. In the sewers, the squad leader found the other squad slaughtered like pigs. "Just like my squad." "That bastard sure moves like a demon." "Well, I have to complete this mission. I've placed c4 in the designated areas thus far all that is left, is to find the headquarters and get the hell out of here." The squadless leader, walks about thirty paces then takes a right. He stumbled upon an interesting passage that led straight to the Outlasters HQ. He hops in a crawl space, and duck walks to the end of it. He pops open the air duct vent only to find a bloody, gut filled stations room. "What the fuck happened here?" "Seems everyone been killed." "Looks like I missed the fun." He hops down onto the floor. He hears some muffled shuffling. He pulls his handgun and walks towards this noise. He rounds a corner and finds, Andrew with his neck sliced partly open and left leg shattered. "Well, if it isn't And rew." "You outsider scum, I will die before I ever help you." "Oh, that fine Andrew i rather you would." Andrew doesn't speak, he simply raises a gun and shoots out the squad leaders knee. In retaliation, the Outsider gives Andrew a few new holes. The squad leader, recognizing the situation, lights a final cigarette. "Damn, of all the places I have to die, it had to be here." "Just my luck." No sooner said, the Dogma comes through the vent shaft the squad leader crawled through earlier. "Shit, he must've heard the gunshots." The dogma silently walks towards the squad leader, almost transparent in the dimlit room. "I see you, you son of a bitch." "Time to meet my maker motherfucker." The squad leader flips a switch on a controller, which then emits radiowaves, triggering the c4 explosives. "I'll see you in hell, you creature." The c4 explodes causing the entire tunnel system to cave in. Chapter 3: The Aftermath It has been 2 years, 3 months, and 23 days since the last of the infected and the strain died out.
