Sub Category : Drama
A little girl clings to her a teddy bear as she lays in her bed. She listens to her drunk parents fight and whispers to the bear, "Maybe they don't want me and will send me back to that lady who hates me."
Glass shatters , a door opens fastly, then slams shut. It is quiet. She gets up holding her bear and walks to the front porch and wonders when will they return. It is dark and quiet and she is afraid. No one is outside and the penny candy store is closed. She recalls how she took some money off of a table to buy candy at that store. On her return she was beaten for stealing and made to kneel on hard rice ,while holding can goods , arms outstretched in the corner of her bedroom for hours. She runs back to her room for fear of punishment should they return and see she is not asleep.
Laying in her bed, clinging to her bear, she stares at the wall.
The shadow of a hand appears on the wall and waves at her. It is not her hand and she is so scared she waves back. It fades away. She jumps up, in sitting position, and a couple of pairs of glowing eyes in dark are stareing at her. She screams, grabs her bear and runs to the parent's room. Their room is darker and the glowing eyes are multiplied in the parent's room. She runs from the room, on to the front porch, down the stairs when her mother on bike rides up to her. "Get your ass back inside!" She runs back in and is too afraid to tell her mom what happened. She cries herself to sleep tightly holding her bear.
