Chaptar 1: The Running
It was 6 in the morning when I heard a noise from in the medical room in Tommy's camp.
I stubble out of bed and walked to the other end of the room where Joel half of the room is.
"Joel wake up"I whispered,shaking his shoulder gently 
"Joel!"I said,a little louder and shaking him harder 
Hes not gonna wake up I thought.
I letter go of his shoulder and walked toward our bed room door,as I open it I heard a creek.
Was someone there? 
I closed the door quickly and stood still in the bedroom.
I tiptoed towards my bed and lifted up my pillow.
Underneath was a poet nife who my last carer gave me 7 years ago when I was 7. 
I gripped it in my hand and opened it.A sharp blade piresed passed it.
"It's probably just a mouse" I whispered to my self,opening the bedroom door and walking into the dusty,cold hallway.
I turned around to close the door behind me.
"Who's there!" I said,holding my pocet nife fermly in front of me.
At the top of the hallway was Tommys and Maria's room but the door was half open.
"Huh.'I muttered,walking towards the room 
I swung the door open and stood there.
"Maria,Tommy it's me"i said walking slowly into the room"Its me Ellie"
I heard a hug bang on the window which made me jump.
I spun around to see an Infected trying to bash through the window.
"Oh man!"I said walking backwards.
I heard foot steps coming closer towards me. 
Then someone grabed me.
"LET ME GO YOU IDIOT!"I yelled,trying to break free 
"Ellie caim down its me" 
I tryed to turn around to see the face but I couldn't.
The person dragged me down to the floor behind Tommy's and Maria's bed 
"Shhhhh"
I looked up.
"JOEL!?"I said,looking at him 
His tight grip letter me go.
I sat on the floor stareing into his Dull,chocolate swade eyes.
He placed his hands on my shoulders 
"Are you OK?"He whispered 
"Yeah I guess I said,picking up my pocet nife.
Then I heard a smash then I remembered about the infected was there.
The infected is in I thought 
Joel crawled passed me and loaded his gun and aimed it then he pulled the tiger.
"Done" he said standing up "Cmon " 
I stood up and walked towards the infected. 
"Do you think that could of been a kid person..."I said,staring at the infected 
"Ellie-"
"Why do we do this Joel" I intupted,looking back at him 
His face was peach with his rose cheeks a little crinkled.There was some blood on his face but only a little.
He stared into my eyes. 
He had a dipressed look on his face.
"Because we do it to survive he said in a caim maner"now Cmon"
I took one last glimpse at the infected then I followed him outside.
There was infected everywhere and there was Tommy's solders trying to fight them away.
I could see two figure running towards us it was Maria and Tommy. 
Maria was a skinny woman who looked very pretty with her blond rough hair and her black lefer jacket on with some blood on and her black skinny jeans Tommy on the other hand wore a white buttoned top with some blood stains and his sleeves rolled up with Blood stained into his bear skin and his light blue trousers.
I stared down at my clothes.
I was wearing riped,blood stained trousers with my black long sleeves on and a red short sleeves on top with some blood stains on. 
"Are you two ok" Said Maria,gazing at me 
"Yep"i said,like nothing happened
"Marline is here" said Tommy in a unstable voice 
"Marline?"I said "didn't she find more mutes"
Tommy and joel stared at each over.
"What" I said,looking at them both 
"Ellie"said Joel looking Me not directly in the eye " she-"
"JOEL STOP THIS!"Said a voice I reconised 
I looked behind joel where the voice came from it was Marline she was walking towards us 
 "Give her to me"she yelled 
Who? dose she mean me? 
Marline grabed s gun and pointed at joel then she loaded the gun.
"Ellie?"she said,looking into my eyes 
"Marline" I said
Then joel turned around punching her up the nose as she fell to the floor
"JOEL WHAT IS GOING ON!"I said,unable to control myself now
