           LOVE
 (In loving memory  of my friend  - Carlito Battad  )

Love   where   are  you  
My heart  is  crying  since you went  away.
All my  days  are  lonely  since  the  day  you  left  me.
So  would  you  hear my plea
Please   come  back  to  me.
Bring  back the  love we use  to  know  
Bring  that love just  for  me. 
Life  for  me  is impossible  
Life for me is  nothing  more   
So would  you  come  back  to  me
And let 's be one  again !  
  
Note:
 I wrote  this  piece a long time  ago, around  the summer  of 1967.  My  friend  confided  to me that his girlfriend  was offered  to finish  her college  studies   down southern  Philippines , although   she had only   two years left and graduate  to be a teacher. His fear was ,  they might  not  get together  again. He might  not see her again.  He was torn  between  getting  married  or go with her or just  hope   and wait what fate would  bring . I recently  heard  that  they  got married  and sadly  to say that Carlito had passed  away. Rest in peace  my friend .
