So this is the bullshit ending I've always dreaded. The time where I say good bye and you smile. I watch as you walk towards the setting sun until I can't see you anymore. What a sad poetic way to end the deal. I would chase you but it would be no different. You'd still walk and I'd lose energy. My heartache so strong that it seems to keep me in place. Feeling the hot concrete on bare heels. The heat soaking in my tears drying instantly. It seems the lonely road is my only friend. Sad isn't it..?
