I said yes to The Devil.

They say The Devil is evil
They say he is the meaning of temptation
That if you take his hand and let him whisper in your ear
You are forever damned without a hope of redemption
I said yes to The Devil
I was not blind and I was not tempted by his bright promises that you all may doubt
God gave me a life of suffering and endless tears
The Devil gave me a way out

"Say yes and be mine as we walk amongst the world as Gods that He could never be
To learn what Father has kept from you
I know I have said I despise the humans that crawl the earth
But somehow you were always different than them and that's why I fell in love with you"
These were the words he spoke to me

Yes I was foolish and you have no right to judge
I said yes to The Devil and no to God and I don't care
I knew what I was getting myself into
But being a devil and fallen child of Grace myself is better than being under the thumb of God and scared
Why must I fear my choices when it was God who gave me my free will and told me in his book of prayers and bedtime stories that I need to follow my heart?
I did and got punished for it!
Sometimes I didn't do anything and still got torn apart
Yet I am and I am wrong for saying how I feel about it?

So I kissed The Devil and told him my dreams and all
He let me rest on his shoulder and heard my cries
Do not try to change me when you were not there when I did call
And to be honest, I rather fall, crash and burn with my Devil over and over again just so I don't have to look at another dead beat father in the eyes.
