the problem with drugs is that nobody knows,
nobody can say it wont be me,
not lawyers, not doctors,
not even me.
They grab ahold,
they take control,
you're fighting for your life,
you're fighting for your soul.
The drugs are demons who pull you down, its especially easy,
in this small little town.
I think they want to see how far they can take you,
I think they want to see how much they can break you
And from the first sniff that first shot
I think they know exactly what they got,
They found themselves another one ,
To put them through the pain,
Only 98% get away,
The rest in darkness and chains,
Institutions, in jail or graves,
So many I know that died along way,
One day at a time they say
But how can I make it through just one day.
It took a long time it took a lot of days for me to wake up and finally see the way.
It's been 8 years now and I made some mistakes I don't think an addict will ever be the same
They come to me in dreams
they stop me on the street
they come to me throuh movies
 I see them on TV
and everytime I do
I get that craving once again,
no we will never be the same
we will never be like you.
