It was a cold, gloomy day, nothing special. Nothing to await. I was locked inside a dark room. Just an ordinary day...

But on that tragic night, I had to endure watching my best friend suffer... 

I had no choice... I couldn't help her. It was as if chains were concealing me from her... It was as if she were at the other side of a mirror, that if you attempt to break it, you would only make it worse.

I couldn't do anything. And as I watched her die, my heart was slowly breaking apart. I couldn't take it, I wanted to rush to her side and maybe, take the pain away from her. But, I couldn't! I couldn't help her...

She forbids it.

If it weren't for my selfish mistakes, then maybe, we wouldn't even be in this situation in the first place.

*flashback*

"Come on Bianca! Let's go inside that mansion!", I heard myself say.

"No Maria! Mum said not to."

"Please, Bianca! It looks haunted so they're definitely giving out Halloween candy!"

"Maria, we've got enough candy now. Besides, the Halloween celebration is already over. We ought to go back home.",Bianca said.

But I was too excited. 

"Maria, wait!"

I dashed inside the mansion, Bianca at my heels. 

Suddenly, I heard someone else come in.

He was holding a knife, and he started running toward me.

But I never felt the knife...

When I opened my eyes, I saw Bianca shielding me from the shiny dagger.

The evil man ran away, scared to be caught.

But my attention was now focused on my sister, who was slowly dying...

*end of flashback*

"Bianca! Please, don't leave me!"

"Shhh... don't worry about me..."

"What do I do?", I asked.

"I knew it from the start. My time has finally come. You don't have to help me. There's nothing you can do..."

"I'm so sorry Bianca!"

"It's okay. Just know that I love you. Very much...Don't forget me... I will always be here..."

And on that night, I lost a sister...

Something that I will forever regret...
