Has life ever knocked you down? Seems like troubles on every side & if it's not one thing, then it's another. As soon as you repair one thing another issue appears, and you began to ask God, "What now?"

Webster dictionary defines

stillness as, 
still, stilled; stilling; stills

☆To become motionless or silent :            quiet, calm
    stilled their nerves

  ☆To put an end to : settle
      Or to arrest the motion of silence

Every been in a season of silence when there's no answer from God? We all have dearly beloved. The thing is God never moved but it was us.

It was our sins that separated us for a moment but with great mercy, He gathered us unto Him again. We've all fallen short of God's glory, one way or another. Sin is sin, no matter the offense. Only God can weigh man's sin. And it all stinks in his nostrils. The storms of life are similar to the weather in regarding a storm. You can see the darkness coming, the shift in the atmosphere in temp, humid, you can hear the thunder rolling.  Then the lightning flashing, and it becomes closer & closer. Boom, the rain falls & the winds blow violently at times. Then the rain pours down. Sometimes it brings a tornado, hail storm, hurricane or striking lightning.  Life is the same when you discern the times. You can see the trouble coming but there's nothing you can do to prevent life from happening. The broken marriage,  finances, death, tragic events, declining of health, job loss or the children acting out. Whatever the situation is it usually gets worse before it gets better. Life calls us all by name in one way or another. Every notice when the storm suddenly is silent....

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices.

The stillness in the storm prepares you for your next. Whenever God is silent,  know that He's working. He might not come when you want Him to but He's always on time.  Right after the stillness or the eye of the storm, we know to take cover. Because what's coming in the next will make you or break you. That's why it's very important to have a relationship with our savior.  He talks but do you listen? That still small voice that warns you not to do something or let's you know the answer to that which you seek.  Many time we walk in disobedience and miss God. Guilty, I wanted things my way & ended up in a 10 year karmic/cursed cycle because of listening at others. Afraid of what other's would think, I missed God by forfeiting a marriage out of assumption of being judged by man. I was a minister but my husband to be was in the secular world, or music industry.  I thank God for growth, afyer going through that hell, I realized that's only a career. I learned people are going to talk about you whether good or bad & those same people can’t judge me. Besides it was predestined & yes I was in fear of NOT being enough, young & scared to death. You hear of so many rumors but we know rumors are often carried by haters.  It seemed like no matter what I done to repair it, it failed.  After I refused him, he then refused me & it became a battle that I will never forget. Many times we say that we forgive by our mouths but our hearts are far from it. Instead of being still & waiting on God, we interfer in divine order. God is directing our steps but it's up to us to follow His plan.  Sometimes it seems like madness to everyone else but it's all God. 

God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; (1 Corinthians1:27)

In the midst of confusion,  there's always a stillness. Lost for words, and that has never been me until God got my attention.  After experiencing loss after loss, I began to ask God why? Silence without an answer. The hurt, pain, denial, bargaining and grief were experienced in different stages. Grief no one tells you that it lingers. I would be in a full blown conversation & someone who remind me of my lost loved one, a song, cologne, shopping,  restaurants,  food, movie or simply an absent person in the house/bed. Life changes us all and in my silent season, I battled depression. Until the last loss and I felt cheated & betrayed. Losing a life partner broke a code in me. I literally can say God did a reset on my mind after almost losing my mind. Searching for the reason why, in the stillness I sought God. I had no one else to turn to because no one knew my pain. I didn't want to get out of bed which became my safety net, my pillows was my confidant and my tears became my meat. I could still feel his presence and still do when I'm going through. The winds in life may blow but stand firm and always take cover. There's no better cover than being covered by God. After we weather the storm in life; an 🌈 end result which we don't understand at the time, reminds us how fragile we are. It reminds us that life is short, so live it without restraints and love hard. Work hard but play harder. You value those that you once have taken for granted. Relationships are meaningless without commitment, honesty, trust and love. You learn to grateful for the small things that money can't buy; loyalty,  love, trust, patience and just being a kind individual. You will see a giver that gives, because they know what it feels like to be without. Whether in love, life or friendships. Life hasany lessons and we'll all be taught by God. To those that don't believe in a risen savior, I pray that you'll find Him in time. That alarm clock wasn't guaranteed to wake you up, & the one who holds time;.has all of our timelines. 

Prayer:

Dear Lord, 
We humbly submit all of our cares at the foot of the cross and leave  them there. Help us not to pick them back up, even in a season of silence and testing.  Give us the strength,  wisdom and knowledge to grow through life gracefully while loving each other. Help us to stay on the path that you have ordained and predestined us to walk in with obedience. Father, we confess that we're at the right place and the right time. Favor knows us by name & follows us everywhere  that we go
We bind hard times and struggling times. Failure is not an option for us and every stumbling block laid by the enemy becomes our stepping stones. We are set free from spiritual demonic contracts, soul ties and entities that would entrap us. We break free from bondage and whom you set free is free indeed. In our pathway is life and death is far from us. We are filled with all spiritual giftings and use them according to your will. Peace is our portion. Therefore we have a sound mind and only think on those things which are lovely and of a food report. We know that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. Therefore we go forward this day in victory and assurance in you. We ask these and all other blessings in Jesus name we pray.  Amen🙏🏼
