I'm not invisible.
Sometimes I wish I was,
But I'm not invisible.
Sometimes I think I am,
But I'm still not invisible.

Maybe I am ugly,
Maybe I am not.
Everybody sees me,
Yet it feels like I cannot.
I swear I'm invisible,
All people see is my coat.
All I'm ever asked is,
'Aren't you hot in that big black coat?'
And my responses are always the same.
'Maybe a little.' 'It holds some stuff that I need.'
'The sun burns my skin.' 'Better hot than burnt.' 
I'm invisible. 

Nobody understands me,
But not everybody hates.
I guess I'll eat some gummy worms.
I blend in to the crowd.
I guess I am invisible.
Then someone calls me out,
Maybe I am not invisible.

Am I blind?
I don't see peoples faces.
I stare at them,
Look intensely at them,
But I don't see them.
I see the them, 
they want me to see.
I hear the them, 
they want me to hear.
But I don't know them.

Am I invisible?
People look at my face,
They stare at me,
But they don't see me.
They see the me,
I want them to see.
They hear the me,
I want them to hear.
But they don't know me.
