I lost a place where 

 I felt at home,

  Where I felt at ease,

  Where I felt good,

  Where I felt whole. 
Now it's just a piece of empty land,

  Empty like my soul is

 Without my childhood home.
 Life takes and gives 

You the things you need 

 And then you miss them all,

  When they're all gone...
