Everlasting Love 
 
A love so true, they said, 
whispered on windswept hills, 
etched in the bark of ancient trees. 
 
Forever, 
a promise hanging in the humid air, 
thick with the scent of summer rain and earth. 
 
Through thickets of doubt, 
thorny vines of fear, 
they navigated, 
hands intertwined, 
a compass guided by the beat of two hearts. 
 
Through thin, barren landscapes, 
where hope seemed a mirage shimmering on the horizon, 
they shared water, 
shared stories, 
shared the unwavering belief 
that green would return. 
 
Their hearts, 
a celestial dance, 
spinning galaxies within their chests, 
a rhythm unbroken, 
a melody sung in silent understanding. 
 
A bond, 
forged in the fires of shared experience, 
tempered by tears and laughter, 
unyielding to the relentless pull of time. 
 
It breaks through, 
the walls of isolation, 
the barriers of misunderstanding, 
a beacon in the darkest night.
