What should last forever,
  Lasts for a day. 
  I gave you my time, 
 But you were not free. 

I wanted to make,
   From my bitter life
  A sweet liqueur, 
 But the hard words I heard -  bled me, 
  Oh, my poor soul. 

What could have been
  Beautiful ended bad.
  The things I knew took 
 A turn towards the unknown...
