There have always been things
  I preferred not to say. 
I wrote them down and then
  Burned them inside me.

 I pretended that I didn't notice
  Even though I saw every step, 
 I let bad things pass by by themselves, 
I pretended that I didn't care.

 I don't like arguing and I know
  That it wouldn't have mattered to them,
 Life is a kind of journey that I take alone.
