Can we be friends,
 Without one of us
  Falling in love with the other? 

I miss having a friend,
   Without being seen
   As a potential lover.
 
 I need to talk and listen 
 Without feeling the need 
  For caresses, 
 Touches and kisses.

 I want to sit on the bench
 And breathe the breeze
  Of the green trees.

I don't want to hold someone's hand, 
I want to be alone with someone 
 But not for romantic love.
Can we be friends without falling in love?
