Roses are red, violets are blue,
But my heart is shattered, broken in two.
On this day of love, I'm left to grieve,
For the one I loved, who no longer loves me.

The chocolates are bitter, the flowers a pain,
Reminding me of what we once shared, now in vain.
The couples hold hands, their love on display,
While I'm left to face the darkness, night and day.

The whispers of sweet nothings, the tender touch,
Are now just memories, a distant, fading clutch.
My heart beats with sorrow, my soul feels worn,
For on this day of love, I am forlorn.

The world celebrates, with joy and delight,
But I'm left to pick up the pieces, of a love that's lost its light.
So I'll hide from the world, and its cheerful sound,
And let the tears fall, for the love that's no longer found.
