I used to call you,
 When your pain was my sadness,
   And my tears shadowed your darkness, 
 When the words of your voice,
  Calmed my irregular heartbeat.  

I used to call you outside, 
 Sit on a bench and watch
  The children playing our 
 Childhood games of our dreams.

  The leaves swaying in the trees,
  The birds circling the wind, 
 People talk in our silence,
  Leaving us to remain silent.
