WIRES AND FLESH Read Count : 4

Category : Stories

Sub Category : Science Fiction
From flesh and bone, a fragile frame,
A whispered dream, a flickering flame.
The human form, with all its flaws,
Yearned for strength, defying laws.
Then came the spark, a metal gleam,
A fusion forged, a waking dream.
The circuits hummed, the wires spun,
A new creation had begun.
The first augment, a simple hand,
Replacing loss, across the land.
Then eyes that saw beyond the veil,
And limbs that moved with wind and sail.
The whispers grew, the fear took hold,
Of man remade, in stories told.
But progress marched, a steady beat,
As metal merged with human heat.
The cyborg rose, a hybrid might,
No longer bound by day and night.
Enhanced and strong, with minds so keen,
A future forged, a vibrant scene.
Some feared the change, the loss of soul,
While others saw a greater goal.
A world where weakness found its end,
Where human limits start to bend.
The lines blurred fast, between the two,
What flesh defined, and metal knew.
A new era dawned, with promise bright,
The cyborg's rise, in dazzling light.
But questions linger, deep inside,
Of what it means to be alive.
When metal sings, and circuits gleam,
Is it progress, or a fading dream?
