More Than Enough

I hold you close, yet still you yearn,
For love so vast, for love to burn.
Your heart aches loud, it needs to see,
That love can live in quiet and be.
But silence whispers, not denies,
In tender looks, in soft goodbyes.
You seek a love that's loud and bright,
That fills the dark and ends the night.
A love that shouts in every breath,
To prove its depth, to fight off death.
But love's not always grand displays,
It thrives in gentle, silent ways.
I try my best to ease your fears,
To calm the storms, to dry the tears.
But still you ask for more and more,
A love that knocks upon your door.
I'm here, I stay, I do not stray,
Yet doubt still haunts us every day.
The past has left its heavy mark,
In parents cold, in love grown dark.
I see the wounds that never fade,
The trust betrayed, the hope mislaid.
I wish my touch could heal the pain,
Yet still you search, and still I strain.
Possession’s weight, it wears me thin,
A love so vast it pulls me in.
I give you all, but still you crave,
A love that’s wild, a love to save.
But love is soft, not always loud,
Not every heart beats bold and proud.
So hear me now, in silent space,
Love isn't lost in quiet grace.
I am your home, your steady ground,
Not every love must make a sound.
Let trust be still, let hearts unwind,
And know, my love, I'm always kind.
