No one will tell you 
Of the anguish and pain
No one will tell you
How you still speak their name

No one will tell you
The long sleepless nights
No one will tell you 
The mental battles you'll fight

No one will tell you
How you still reach for them in bed
No one will tell you
The strength you need ahead

No one will tell you
The depression grief brings
No one will tell you
The memories that you cling

No one will tell you
Some days it feels like it happened yesterday 
No one will tell you
On some days you can't pray 

No one will tell you
How you'll miss their touch
No one will tell you
Until they deal with such

No one will tell you
The longing for their voice
No one will tell you
Dealing with grief isn't a choice
