See myself on the screenStaring back at meSee the smile, recognizeMe becoming meIs it true, the face I seeOr an AI facsimileIt looks completeNot quite concreteBut it passes the test of eyeNo facial hair or scars I seeSo when did I pose for thisI see the man I used to beBut is it really meHe speaks a different languageHis eyes aren’t like mineWould my mother and familySay that that was meNever owned a shirt like thatAt least that’s what I thinkIs this chaos perpetratedOr have I lost my mindAsk him questions about his lifeTo see if he’s like meNothing underhandedBut just to understand meHe says he doesn’t understandThe questions I’ve put forthNothing about the languageJust the character here put forthHis life experiences are differentThese questions show to meI would know the answersIf he were really meBites and bits upon the screenReflect my face to meBut who’s inside this mind disguisedThat can’t see me for meSend him back from whence he cameHis story is no goodBut someday, somehowHe’ll find the answers and his story will be oh so goodBe careful with your reflectionNot all are you, you seeSome will sit and deceiveWhile you dream of eternityGuard you heart and mindGuard your friends indeedShow them all your true identityNot a false soliloquy, or dirty iniquityThat reminds you of the devilWho used to live in thee
