My Own Dawn Read Count : 16

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
I am not – as blind Ghosts –
who beg – the Moon – for Sight –
Her borrowed Lantern – flickers –
and the Shadows – lengthen –

My Heart – a quiet Furnace –
forges Light – of its own –
not Silver – nor from Heaven –
but Ember – and Pulse – alone –

Let Night – keep her Secrets –
I carry – my own Dawn –
No plea – to distant Orbs –
No barter – for borrowed Vision –

Within – the hush – of Midnight –
my Spark – illumines – the Path –
I walk – unshadowed –
by any Eye – but mine –
