Sister Cynthia went to visit her friend in her house. When she got to her friend’s house, she met her friend relaxing in her sitting room.


Cynthia: Sandra, this one you are at home today, hope all is well?


Sandra: my sister, all is well ooo. I choose to take a week leaf from my office and this is the third day now I have been at home.


Cynthia: wow, that good to hear. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy you know? When you work and you don’t have enough rest, it can lead to accumulated stress in the body which can threaten your health or make you sick.


Sandra: yeah you are right.


Cynthia and Sandra began to gist as a message entered her phone.
Sandra pick up her phone and read the message and scream in shock. 


Cynthia: my sister what happened? Hope all is well?


Sandra started to feel like the ground should open and swallow her, like the whole world should come to an end.
She was in sober as she sat down frustrated and helpless.


Cynthia: please the way you are acting right now, you are scaring me, what is wrong with you?


Sandra gave the phone Cynthia. Cynthia read the message but make no sense to her.


Cynthia : my sister please I don’t understand the message, please tell me what is going on?


Sandra began to explain to Cynthia with a crying tone.


Sandra: It is Frank ooo, Frank has killed me ooo


Cynthia: Frank! Who is Frank and what happened to Frank, did he die?


Sandra: If he die is it not better? 


Cynthia: No do not say that now, what happened?


Sandra : Frank just broke up with me ooo. He sent me a text message that he will no longer marry me again ooo!
Chai! After all I have done for Frank, this is how he wants to pay me back.


Cynthia: hmmm! Why will he do such a thing now?


Sandra: I don’t know ooo, Frank has killed me ooo.
Frank traveling to abroad is because of me, Frank doing well today,  it is me and this is how he wants to pay me back. Chai! All men are wicked and deceitful 


Cynthia: my sister please don’t say that, okay? What if Frank was not supposed/ not destined to be your husband? What if your marriage with Frank was not going to work out and God just use this means to save you from the hands of Frank. We can only see the present but God sees both the present and the future. You are just looking at Frank to be your husband but you don’t know what the future holds for you in marriage. Some ladies die untimely in their marriages, some go through one abuse or the other in their marriages, you don’t know which one God has just saved you from.


Sandra (said to Cynthia as she was wiping her tears): this thing you are saying is not making any sense to me, you are confusing me. Are you asking me to forget about Frank and move on or what?


Cynthia:That is not what I mean my sister. What I mean is that, if Frank is truly your husband, you will definitely not lose him. The thing is, you know what is good for you but God knows what is best for you. You may think Frank is good for you and if he leaves you now, you will be worthless but I want to let you know that as Frank has jilted you now, the husband that God will bring to you ehn, will be the best and the sweetest of all you can ever imagine and that man will be better than Frank in all that you can think of. So do not worry yourself that Frank has left you, my sister. Just put God first in all you do. When you get God involved in your affairs, he will never fail or disappoint you in anyway.
Sandra: I am short of words right now and I am still in shock. I just don’t know what to do. Where do I start from, how do I explain to my people that Frank has left me? How advised him to do this to me? What has come over him? Are you sure Frank did this in his right senses or under the influence of some hard drugs? Or is it family pressure because the way her mum was looking at me that day he introduced me to his family, I was so uncomfortable and unwelcome with her gestures.


Cynthia: my sister stop thing in that direction, are you not a Christian? The little I have know you, you are a good girl, you are Godfearing, and you are a perfect match for a man who wants to make you his wife so don’t worry yourself about those events that happened in the past. Any man that will marry you will enjoy like no other because you are beautiful, loving, a homemaker, a priceless gem, you have some values that I envy and that is why I made you my friend so that I can tap from your grace.


Sandra: Hmmm! I never knew I was all of this you just told me.


Cynthia: Yes, it is possible that you don’t know what you carry but every time I am with you, I always see some gifts in you and any man that will marry you, will never suffer instead will always prosper.


Sandra: Cynthia, this is too much. I want to ask you something, are you saying this to make me happy or what? These things you are saying about me, are they real or you are making them up because I have not seen any of this things you claim you always see in me.


Cynthia: Don’t worry, the husband or the man that will marry you will one day tell you these things I am telling. Maybe until then you will know that I never made these things up. You are a wife and every wife is an embodiment of blessings, prosperity, happiness and stability . You are a perfect, precious gift that is well packaged for your loving husband that will marry you. Most of the things I did in my marriage that is working today, I learnt them from you. I am glad I know you and I want to know more of you, that is why I stick to you as a close friend. Your kind is very rare to find, believe me.


Sandra was mute and was surprised that such utterances will be coming out from her friend’s mouth, saying so many good things about her. Not only that she was telling her about herself, but also saying it with all confidence.


Cynthia: Anyway, let’s change the subject since you don’t want to believe everything I tell you.


Sandra kept shut as she was folding her arms, worrying about what Frank did to her. The sudden break up put her in a serious shock.


Cynthia: I can see you are not ready to talk so I beg to take my leave. I have to go now for I have some things to take care of and our youth program is coming up this Saturday and I am the coordinator for the church program. I even came to discuss with you on how you will be of great assistance to me because I need a team to work with so that the program will be a huge success but with what is on ground now, I don’t think you will be ready to make yourself available for the church program.


Sandra: My friend, please don’t leave for your presence is what I need right now. I really enjoy your company for I don’t know what will happen the next seconds if you leave.


Cynthia: sister Sandra, I can’t stay one more minutes here with you because I want to form a committee for this program and I have some of our sisters to visit so that I can have meetings with them to raise members/team for the program.


Sandra: ok


Cynthia: I will suggest you come with me if you are not doing anything right now so that we can both visit our sisters. I promise lunch at one of the eateries by the time we are done. The both of us will go there and relax, ok?


Sandra: kk, let me get my things.


Cynthia: ok I am waiting.


Sandra went into her room and took some things that she feel it will be necessary to be use for her journey. After she packed her things, she carried her bags. Sandra and Cynthia left the house and walked straight to Cynthia car. They both entered the car and Cynthia drove off.
