I carried you for years
For you I gave my life 
So how is it I sit in tears
I didn't even see the knife 

I never should have turned my back
You already showed me how you feel
I thought it was just an act
So now I'm going to keep it real

Like a baby on an umbilical cord
Attached from the womb
Looking 9 months for it
Pushing in the delivery room

Momma said you haven't gave birth yet
Until you birth a man
Listen baby this wisdom you need that
To follow God's master plan


After all is said & done
For months you knew the plan 
Your momma hates me she not the only one.. but I'll leave it in God's hand

That's how we miss our blessing
With other people in your ear
That pain of loss becomes a lesson 
When you steady moving in fear

Attach from the womb
It's time to cut the cord
Ain't no way you assume 
It's just to be ignored

You question God while listening to man, disobedience is what I don't understand. Especially when God has put it in your hands. But I remind myself you're only just a man
