In the quiet of my days,
Walking solitary ways.
I hide away the ache inside,
Seeking solace, nowhere to hide.

For too long...
I've lost the will to smile,
Caught in moments, fragile and vile.

Breathe stale air,
Silent echoes, no birds sing,
Dreams of journeys fade,
Tasteless meals, no joy they bring.
No new friends made.

The story of my life creeps on,
Lost in solitude, heart forlorn.
Yearning for a fleeting smile,
Longing stillness, all the while.
