My hair is light
My nails are dark
A contrast in sight
Doesn't make me a star
They look at me
They think I'm weird
They try to flee
They'll live in fear
I'm not one to be messed with
Nor hurt easily
But you're not one to be played with
Your heart isn't a violin of strings
Don't call me edgy
Don't care if you say I'm goth
Simply a style choice
There's nothing wrong
I don't understand
What's so bad about me?
Just because my nails are black
And my heart still beats..
Blood doesn't stain my wrists
And scars don't line my arms
Much like my best friend who's bubbly
But those features don't shine like stars
Don't judge me by my looks
Don't judge her for her scars
Don't judge me for who I am
Don't judge yourself for who you are.
