Give me time to understand this life,
 'Cause if I don't love you right,
  You will hate me for the rest of your life.

 Give me time to forget the person I loved before
  'Cause if she came to my door,
 I could forget everything we both did wrong, 
 And I don't want to make a mistake 
 By loving you and loving her at the same time. 

 Give me time to recover my dreams
  Because I gave them up since I thought
 I didn't need them...

  'Cause I don't like to rush
  From butterflies to worms,
  Loving the wrong one again.
