I have learned through the years that life as you know it can quickly change in the time it takes for you to simply breathe. One breath is sometimes all that it takes to alter your life sometimes for the great, but sometimes it’s that one breath you take and life as you knew it would be forever changed. It takes one breath when your born and life floods in and similarly when life does end. We take for granted all these breaths that we take expecting the next one to be just the same. Some of my greatest joys and lonely sorrows have happened in the time it would take to take a simple breath then your total life will change. If only we would pause often and remind ourselves that the moment before one cannot dwell. The moments to come are not guaranteed, all that we have is the in between. If we learn to stay present right now where we are, we would have everything because in this one moment we are present and here, we can be in this moment without sadness or fear. I have had my whole world that which I knew become a stranger so fast it would seem that time between breaths is all that it needs. I have experienced great joy at the drop of a hat, and feel such sadness take root in my eyes all in one moment when a part of you dies. When we acknowledge that our past we can’t change and the future could be called by a multitude of names. In this very moment before we are on to the next, i must say I love you and please don’t forget. In this moment this sliver of time it is both my heart and my mind. I am so grateful, so happy, so proud that in this great moment I get to be free, happily knowing that your meant for me. I pray and I pray that this moment will last becoming a clear picture, seen through clear glass. I will cherish this moment and hope that there is more, with each passing moment I’m loving you more. As quickly as it comes I know it can fade, may I stay in this moment for the rest of my days. Thank you for bringing these moments of joy I cannot express how precious they are and because of this moment I will forever see, what  a beautiful gift that god bestowed upon me. Let me take a mental snapshot of this lovely moment and the joy that it brought. I look right at you, deep in your eyes and realize this moment was shared with the person who truly showed me he cared. I won’t think of yesterday as it has come and it’s gone and value the presence of you standing there. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone you see it’s only these small moments that build one’s life and it can be felt the pain, and the hurt or even better the joy of one single moment becoming a life. These little moments both big and small are the memories I carry from the moment I knew that each part of me loves each part of you. Thank you lord god for seeing fit to give me this moment that has you firmly within it.
