Everything started in 2009, scientist were doing experiments in trying two create a new species of living creatures. Not everything went as planned, you see the creatures that they created watch what happens and they learn from it, they never knew right from wrong... And they never will know. 2009 March 15th, the scientists had actually come up with a creature, even though they never actually had a name for it because it could turn into anything, it was a shapeshifter they had created a tiny Society of them and lock away up in closed cells so that they couldn't get away, they were afraid that this creation wasn't safe for the human race or the animal Society. 
3 years later 2012 on October 9th there was a huge earthquake that shattered the cells and the walls had collapse in, this happened in the lab too where all the scientists were sadly all of them died... All the shapeshifters turned into wild animals and spread across the world in packs, every since then there's been stories passed down from generation to generation " Be careful what you do cuz they sit in silence they watch and learn, they watch and learn, you do it to someone else and they do it to everyone else." 

The shapeshifters had turned into wolves and travel to a mountain side near campsites, there was a car parked in a cave near a campsite, a a figure got out of the car with a shotgun loaded the person pull the trigger in shot down everyone in the entire area. The shapeshifters have a weird language, but this Pacific time they what talking to each other the only thing they said was watch and learn, they soon developed a human form and they've been many places and seen stealing, so they broke into forest Rangers offices, police stations, also some private military bases and stole guns... They started their killing spree!

It was easy for the shapeshifters to get the guns due to the fact that they can shift into anything including the guns, every weapons, and basic equipment. They sat in the shadows for days watching the military crew fuss and fight as well as target practice.
