I tied my tongue, 
I was afraid to speak.
I didn't want to disappoint her
 By saying nice words,
  But never have the courage
  To act as I think...

  I kept my feelings for her only to myself, 
 Waiting for someone else 
 To come into her soul,
 And love her as she deserves.

  And I turned my back on love, 
Crying for the things I know I won't have, 
 Maybe this is the story I needed to have,
 To understand how life works for some.

All on my own, when everyone 
 Has someone who loves them,
 And with whom they are in love...
