Morning Beauty By Gideon Cecil

The sleeping half moon wears her robe under the clouds,

A biting rainy wind singing from a distance.

A flock of parrots talking on the lonely sea shore,

The silent sea waves hum a soft melody from afar.

A blue mountain hiding under the red horizon,

Tall coconut trees wave their long necks over a running stream.

White egrets galloping on the sea waves,

A magnificent turtle marches slowly on the muddy sea shore.

A vivacious woodpecker drilling a hole on a succulent mango.

An army of butterflies fluttering on the wind wings,

The sleeping sun awoke from her resting dream.

Kissing the young hibiscus flower with her warm kisses,

Birds and bees sing new songs on the silent coconut trees.

The brilliant sun open her hot eyes over the falling horizon

A lazy crab marches slowly into a muddy stream.

The wind is coming again from a distance with a shout,

A silent thunder rattles behind the curtain of the clouds

As the angry rains breaks the morning silence with a bang
