Who are you?
I ask because I thought I knew.
I let you enter into my life.
I welcomed you every night.
But when I needed saving,
when everything was swaying,
I held your hand for balance,
but you let go without a glance.
In confusion, then in grave realization,
I did what I had to, to break the fall.
Ripped my heart from where it's been.
Tried to wipe my memory clean.

Hello stranger. Do I know you?
You feel familiar. Who are you?
