I’m a man upon the streetsWander place to placeMind in total darknessI’ve forgotten myselfLeft out of societyMy mind a bitter wreckSo many voicesWhich one do I seekYears have passed slowlyNo friend here have IWeeping and gnashing of teethScreams I can’t denyRock to lay my headDirt my awful bedNo proper clothes upon my backNor shoes here have IThey bring me to this manSay Jesus is His nameHe’s told I am demoniacStranger to my nameThe demons howl in rageWhen asked what their nameThey say, we are legionFor we are many but the sameJesus says to leave the manThey grumble and they moanPlease master, in the pigsBecause they need a new homeJesus says yes, the pigs let it beThey celebrate their triumphIn the pigs off they goAnd promptly the pigs, go racing to the seaThe man looks aroundAmazed at what he seesJesus here before himHe bows to his kneesHe listens to the wordsJesus speaks to the crowdAmazed and in wonderAt the authority in His wordsHere I met my makerAnd the plans He has for meMet Him on the road to hellWashed me clean indeedPlant a seed in meWater to make it growGrow to be tall and strongNo more wilderness for meI am a new manLive a life for HimHear the words I speakPlease, come in
