The Irony Of Love Read Count : 26

Category : Poems

Sub Category : N/A
A love born that was of a glare.
A love that agitates the soul like the wind on the fields.
A love made of a dream, a fantasy that longs to become reality.
You're chasing her and I'm here waiting, as I'm offering my life with every glare I give you.
I'm playing the role of a fool, pretending I don't care but I do.
The irony of love is that she gives you nothing and I'm offering you my life.
An empty bed, and a hand full of hope is being extending yet you crave that thin thread.
I see you crying and I can't do anything to stop your tears from falling, here is the net you can jump, I won't let go.
It doesnt have to be like this, you could be chasing me instead, I'll let you catch me and hold me tightly.
I want is to see you smile, yet we're both here crying, I care for you and want to see you happy yet we're both here crying.
Darn cupid played us dirty, when will you notice that I love you the way you.
The irony of love is that you're chasing her and I'm chasing you.
Nothing will change, that's how it is, all I can do is wish.
Look at me the way you look at her and I swear I won't let you go, here is my hand just grab it and let's change our roles.
