How many times

Do we go through life

Thinking about

What we want?

And how many times

Throughout the day

Are we grateful 

For what we've got?

The plans, the goals,

The hopes and dreams, 

They always seem

To get obscured.

The daily grind,

We try to survive,

As the speed of life

Has our focus blurred. 

Through the madness,

No matter our cause,

We just need a moment,

We just need to pause.
