Hallucinations

R

It started with
A wall full of
Animals singing
Barber shop songs

You know , the usual.

But , who's keeping score?

You can crash the glass ceiling
You can live in a bubble

But you'll never know what reality's for

I learned secrets of galaxies
And deep realities

Too powerful for my mind

They can only be understood through hallucinations

A blessing on mankind

Reality's a drill
That drills through layers
Of thought amber

It's a fantastic thrill.

It cracks your plastic
And

Your pretensions

Not to mention
What's unmentionable

Like the children of Israel
Collecting manna

Like watching Adam
Awake from dust

You become a different kind
Of being

It's a reality you
Can trust.

It all makes sense
At doubt's expense.
