I stared at the sun 
For way too long long
I could feel the heat
I could feel the burn

There was no rain
To cool me off 
To ease my pain
And now you scoff

At the things
I’ve said I’ve done
Of the race
I said I run
But who are you 
To turn away
From the heart I gave
To you that day

Clouds they drift
Across my sky
Giving shadow to
Where I set my eye

Is there anyone
Who can tell me why
When all I see
Is you crying

Over all that 
I’ve said I’ve done
Of the places
I’ve said I’ve been
But here I am
When you need me most
Giving you the love
