You were like a fog
 That settled on both my eyes.
 I could no longer see the beauty...
From the outside.  

You were like a disease 
That kept my heart in cold and pain, 
Now I see that not all lovers
 Want you to be well. 

 We were both together
 For fear of not being alone, 
But we ended up looking at each other
 Like two strangers... holding each other's arms.
