What makes the perfect companion? Is it the way they behave, are they silent, are they house trained? There is no such thing as a perfect companion to everyone but your companion may be the perfect one for you. Unfortunately others don't see it that way, if they see any flaws no matter how big or small they may be they throw their dogs out into the world without any regret. Those creatures are now starving and become dehydrated. They have to find ways to survive on their own because danger lurks all around us today. They don't know when or what their next meal will be or what the future brings if they are able to live another day. Thank goodness for the animal control officers who go out and rescue these helpless creatures who aren't able to talk for themselves. Those officers risk being bitten and sometimes depending on the situation seriously hurt. Nobody gives them credit though and nobody seems to care enough in this society today to help the animal shelters or to give back to the community anymore. All it takes is effort and some of people's time but what's more important to them? They focus on the gossip and drama instead of seeing that right around a corner a animal may be silently begging for help yet they turn and sneer at it and yell at it until it feels unwanted. Why can't we all put in time and effort and start caring for the same animals who care for us. They are companions and friends not rejects and nuisances. They need to be loved not to be abandoned. That's why for the past 3 years my family and I have helped the animal shelter by fostering over at least 200 dogs. We always do what we can to help out no matter how big or small the dog is. We've even helped out on a hoarding case where we had so many dogs we had to use over 20 horse stalls to contain them all. The pain and suffering was evident in the dogs faces. They were malnourished and dehydrated and so dirty you couldn't tell mud from skin. But if you'd give them the chance of day it will turn out for the better most of those dogs went to happy homes and we continue to help the animal shelter to this day so why can't you? Please contact your local animal shelter today and see how you can help today.
