You hurt me

I should hate you

But that’s what you want

Part of me wants to hate you, but I choose an opposite reaction

They say, kill them with kindness

Kindness is my weapon of choice

Kindness is like a knife

You hide it behind your back

And give them hugs, taunting them with a poke, a slight sting for guilt

When they’re pulling away, kindness stabs them in the back

So no, I could never hate you

But sometimes

Just sometimes

The knife is in my hand

My kindness freshly sharpened

Ready to attack

Kindness is revenge, for the arrow you shot in my back
