Why is it that Fake President keeps nominating key officals with confirmed ties to Russia?

The latest is Brian Benczkowski for Head of the Justice Department's Criminal Division. In addition to his close ties wirh the Trump campaign, he was an attorney for Russia's Alfa Bank. The same bank that had regular communications with the Trump campaign via a private email server in Trump tower. 

We know how sensitive the Regressive Right has been to private email servers for politicians in the past. Why is this no longer an issue?

And why can't fake president find any nominees for Justice Department that don't have linkage to Russia?
