So my new shiny blog. I’m writing this just to do it, nothing more. I could start this with my name is, I work here, I like this, that and a hat, but that is a bit boring no? Wouldn’t it be better if you didn’t know those things right of the bat? Some of this blog will be fiction(Yeah life gets boring, let’s spice it up.) Some will be truth. You will have to decide which is the former. Let’s start with one truth.(See i’m giving you a freebie) I lost my job. Yes this does suck, and every word I can thing of can’t sum it up better. No I didn’t do anything, it just closed up. Well it was interesting well it lasted. From this point on you are on your own with the whole truth and fiction stuff. There was a moment during the last couple hours of being there was no one around but me. The store was almost empty and the walls naked. A mixed bag of memories started flooding back. Like the one during Christmas when one customer called me a sucker of roosters for not returning something. Or the time I was screamed at by a man-child jumping up and down over a return. Damnit come to think of it those returns were annoying. Yep I won’t miss that place. For all the hate I sometimes or mostly have for people, there is a tiny part of me that liked it. I could lie and say I found another job instantly. Nope, I didn’t, still trying but didn’t. Life is a pain. Still I do enjoy this hopefully sort moment of not being ask “Do you have a job after this?” When the person doesn’t have a job lined up that question is like a slow knife in the back. My answer was always just a “yep.” In my head the answer was more colorful. “Nope, I was thinking of doing porn, or becoming a Hitman, or a inventor. Yeah always had a idea for pillows that would chat with you until you fell asleep. It’s called the chat pillow.” Or something more raged and swear driving. In other news… Met a girl (Fiction freebie) :) It was this sh*t run down comic and gaming store in the city. The type of place that smells like mold, sweat, cigarettes, and lost hours for many akward humans. A card table was set up next to the door with five nerdy looking guys, who no matter how many times I’ve come in there, give me the look as if I pissed on their table. It used to bother me, since I don’t look or talk like them, I must be a comformis in their eyes. Headphones on and walking towards the back. Retro games, and vinyl. A hipster dream and mine. The sound of Nirvana’s Breed drowns out the background noise. Ever enter that zone out mode without knowing. Yeah me too. “You see that man on t.v? He’s no longer around buddy.” I remember looking at my Dad who looked sad and confused as I sat on the floor looking back to the T.V. The words, gunshot, wound, dead, 27, found, lost, depression, heroin, and suicide burned into my memory that day. I remember my mother telling me not to play with guns….. Yep zoned out. “Hey, Hey, Hey?” I looked up from Sonic the hedgehog, waving his finger at me and quickly took off my head phones. “Hey” she says one more time. I stare at her for a moment. Her hair dyed black and blue. Her eyes deep and dark. Her skin pale as a bloodless human. (I know, trust me I do, but to say her sky was as pale as snow would be boring) I nod and turn before begining to make my exit… “That was Nirvana right?” I nod “Yeah”. She slowly gives a thumbs up. “Oh the Terminator.” What did I just say? Why the f**k did I say that. She looks at me as if I spoke another language. Time to turn away again. Damn I can feel my blood burn on my face. “Oh, did you just make a Terminator reference from me giving a thumbs up?” “Yeah. I’m am sorry.” “No, little random and abstract but cool.” “Oh, cool.” I take it back. I’m more akward than the nerds. Who I notice watching with mouths open. “Um, anyways seen you in here before and notice you always seem to be interested in cool stuff, do you wanna hang out in the dungeon and dragons room, talk music and stuff?” “The dungeon and dragons room is just for that, D&D. Not the music and stuff room.” One of the nerdy fellow reminds her. Another whispers “And C.o.d.” to his friend. “Don’t worry Chad, we won’t harm your realm. So?” “Sure, cool.” Maybe that wasn’t fiction. Until next time…
