Hold back the darkness
For those too weak to be
The strength to get them thru the night
And the fear of who’ll they’ll be

Be their shield in time of need
The sword to pierce the dark
Be their beacon for the path
That leads them to your hearth

Speak the words they long to hear
That gives hope to their heart
That lift them from what holds them back
And revives their life within

Chase away the clouds above
Give light to the sky
Be their sunshine breaking thru
Driving their sadness away
