I didn't get everything I wanted, 
But I got everything I need now. 

 I won, I lost and I won again,
 The journey took me on a different path,
 But I feel that I am a better person now.

  I didn't get love from the person I wanted, 
But someone else loved me back 
More than I thought possible.

I didn't get everything I asked for, 
But I appreciate what I have more 
Than what I think I could be missing...

I didn't get everything I wanted, 
But I got everything I need now.
