Breaking my own heart 

You throw mixed signals, 
But you don't see, 
What you're doing to me, 

You think I'm ok when we're done, 
You think I don't want to run? 
You think I'm strong enough to withstand another storm, 
Truth be told you couldn't be more wrong,
Im scared to death you're killing me,
Taking away all my self esteem, 
Do you even see? 

You hit me with the I miss you,
Or you want me back, 
Truth be told I've always wanted that,
But I can't keep up with the back and forth, 
I'm breaking my own heart full force, 
Everytime that I let you in, 
Loving you seems to be my greatest sin. 

I don't know if it's the comfort of knowing you, 
Or the fear of having to start something brand new, 
Even though I know holding on just burns, 
But what if the tables never turn and I'm locked in, 
Just repeating the same damn thing.
