I won't cower 

I thought I had found my everything 
But life had other plans
Turns out I still need to learn to stand on my own
And get by without a man, 

But you won't break me
I won't cower 
This is just a dent in road 
I've never been afraid of adventure 
Just the unknown 

I fear the lack of control
It isn't that I need somebody 
Else to make me whole
I'm just not good at letting go 

I see the good in every heart
Ive always been soft
Never missed a beat 
I won't let you turn me to stone 

I won't cower
Because I won't break
You don't hold that power 
Over my fate
