I have climbed hundreds of mountains, 

Every mountain you have climbed. 

 Always one step ahead of me, 

I followed your memories.
  I went down every staircase

 That your steps went on, 

But I waited to find a road 

Where we could go together

In the same direction that my heart

 Was already going with yours. 
 The breakup came when I was at the top,

 The night dreams made me see clearly.

I should have gone to you hand in hand, 

Not only behind you...
