Beats in poetry,
In words for you,
In words for me.
This heart beats
Words of hope and light
This heart beats 
In words that are born at midnight
Words mother's by late-night coffee
Words I didn't know I kept inside 
Until I wrote them out.

Because it doesn't know
How else to beat,
How else to feel,
